Dashmount for telephone (iPhone)
I'm looking for a nice dashmount for my iPhone. But can't find a solution for the Wind on the internet.
I've looked at some of the populair company's like Brodit, Kuda and Kram. But they don't have a nice dashmount for the Wind.
Someone here on the forum with a hint or tip?

I don't have an iPhone but I do have a dashmount from Belkin. It's orignally for iPhones but my Android phones fits in too (even with the protection case on).

Can you upload a picture? Not only the Belkin, but also how you mounted it...

It is one you stick to the windshield though but I'll take a picture of it when I get home.

I've been looking at this.
My idea is to fix it to the flat console part immediately in front of the hazard warning switch.
However, it's a bit bit close given that the surface is roughly the same width as the diameter of the suction cup and I think that the vacuum lever may get in the way.

I have some pics of the car on the web because it's for sale, check it out here
Somewhere you can see how I fixed my Brodit iPhone cradle on an old leather dashmount (for an Espace). I can make some close ups if you like, let me know

OK... reporting back on the dashmount I bought above off eBay.
The base is very close in diameter to the width of the ledge in front of the hazard switch, but once secured it appears to work a treat.
There is plenty of adjustment and I needed to reverse the bracket, by removing the screw from the central hinge to find the best position. It does appear to get a very firm hold on the polished surface, though I haven't driven with it yet.
You can spin the head through 180 degrees, so your USB lead can go down the left or right hand side of the centre console.
It appears fairly well made and holds my iPhone 4s nice and tightly.
As you can see from the photos below, no controls are obscured, with the exception of the hazard switch, which you shouldn't be using while driving anyway.
.... My favourite thing about this solution though is that it avoids fixing to the windscreen, which is a pet hate of mine.... and all with no permanent fixings which is great, especially for the PCPers amongst us.

Just coming back with a report on my dashmount.
It works a treat. Extremely secure.
Puts the iPhone right at your fingertips and obscures nothing of any consequence.
...and at a bargain price.
